Thermal Management of Data Center
The main function of a data center is to achieve wireless signal transmission between wired communication networks and wireless terminals. The power supply equipments, transmitting equipments and transmission equipments in the telecommunication room are all large heating elements. It depends on continuously using the air conditioning system to maintain a certain working environment temperature. According to the statistics, over 70% of China Mobile's huge power consumption is occupied by its communication base stations. Among the total electricity consumption, air conditioning accounts for about 50%. According to the data from the Ministry of Industry, the annual electricity consumption of China's communication industry has exceeded 20 billion kilowatt hours, the air conditioning electricity consumption has exceeded 7 billion kilowatt hours per year. From the perspective of energy consumption structure, saving electricity for air conditioning is the most effective and promising method.
The heat exchanger in confined space(EX-JZRK-4K/a) is a differential temperature drive two-phase fluid circuit. It uses EntropyX's heat transfer technology to transfer inside heat to the outside without entering external air or dust. Normally, only the EntropyX‘s thermal control system needs to be activated, thus the indoor and outdoor temperature difference can be balanced to within 5 ℃, ensuring that the temperature level inside the base station is maintained below the alarm temperature. Under high temperature condition, it operates in conjunction with air-conditioning systems, thus greatly reduced air conditioning working. The product’s technology and performance has far exceeded the existing similar products in the market. This product has strong system reliability with a service life more than 15 years, and is basically maintenance-free. It has been applied to the iron tower macro cellular base stations, greatly improved the level of power saving for China Tower Companies and other communication operators.
The heat exchanger in confined space is composed of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. After absorbing the heat in the room by the indoor unit, the working fluid has vaporized into steam, and the steam is transported to the outdoor unit through the connecting pipeline. When the steam is cooled, it condenses into liquid. Under the action of gravity, the liquid returns to the indoor unit. It forms a self loop two-phase fluid circulation driven by temperature difference. The main dimensions of indoor unit and outdoor unit are 920mm high * 900mm wide * 350mm thick.
